Sycamore Baptist Church in Jackson, Michigan is a fundamental, independent, Baptist church where you can hear relevant Bible messages, listen to conservative Christ-honoring music, and fellowship with family and friends.   

Our Pastor

Pastor Mike Pisney served as an Associate Pastor and Youth Pastor for 15 years before accepting the position of Pastor of Sycamore Baptist Church in June of 2008.  Saved at the age of 10, and called to ministry at 16, Pastor went on to attend Pensacola Christian College.  It was there he earned a Bachelor's of Arts degree in Youth Ministry in 1991, and a Master's in Bible Exposition in 1993.  He is currently enrolled in the Doctor of Ministry Degree at Bethany Seminary.   Pastor Pisney  has  past experience in leading youth and Senior Adult ministries.  Pastor has a heart for families (from the nursery age to the super seniors). 

Pastor's Family

 Pastor Pisney married his wife Sarah in June of 1993.  Sarah accepted Christ as her Savior at the age of 7.  She felt called to full time ministry at the age of 15.  Sarah graduated from Pensacola Christian College with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree in 1994.  Sarah home-schools their two children, Bethany age 11, and Bradley age 10.
